I've often been
asked if I could publish the cat food data tables in book form, and I have now
done so for over US and Canadian foods.
This page tells
you more about the book and where you can buy it.
What to Expect
The book is a printed
version of the food data tables. As a bonus, it includes the foods in
brand order as well as in order of phosphorus content.
For the
avoidance of doubt, the food data tables in order of phosphorus content
will continue to be available
on the site, completely free of charge. The book is just an
optional extra for those who tell me they print out the tables before
going to the pet store and who would prefer just to take a book with them
instead. It can be a lot easier to choose a food when you are standing in
front of a particular brand if you can look at a table showing the lowest
phosphorus options for that particular brand.
How to Buy
the Book
The book is
available on Amazon in the USA and Canada.
Since I am an Amazon Associate, I earn
from qualifying purchases, i.e. if
you click on the link to my books on Amazon, I also receive
commission on anything else you may buy at the same time.
Amazon insists on placing the book for sale on other Amazons. Please
do not buy the book if you live anywhere other than USA and Canada,
because many of the foods will not be available for you to buy, and the
formulations may be different in order to meet differing regulatory
requirements in your country.
TREATING YOUR CAT WITHOUT VETERINARY ADVICE CAN BE
EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
I have
tried very hard to ensure that the information provided in this website is
accurate, but I am NOT a vet, just an ordinary person who has lived
through CKD with three cats. This website is for educational purposes
only, and is not intended to be used to diagnose or treat any cat. Before
trying any of the treatments described herein, you MUST consult a
qualified veterinarian and obtain professional advice on the correct
regimen for your cat and his or her particular requirements; and you
should only use any treatments described here with the full knowledge and
approval of your vet. No responsibility can be accepted.
If your cat
appears to be in pain or distress, do not waste time on the internet,
contact your vet immediately.
This site was
created using Microsoft software, and therefore it is best viewed in
Internet Explorer. I know it doesn't always display too well in other
browsers, but I'm not an IT expert so I'm afraid I don't know how to
change that. I would love it to display perfectly everywhere, but my focus
is on making the information available. When I get time, I'll try to
improve how it displays in other browsers.
This site is a labour of love. Please do not steal from me by taking credit for my work.
If you wish to
link to this site, please feel free to do so. Please make it clear that
this is a link and not your own work. I would appreciate being informed of
your link.
